KAJIAN EKSTRAK SERAI (CYMBOPOGON CITRATUS) UNTUK PENCEGAHAN KONTAMINASI LALAT PADA IKAN ASIN
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of natural insecticides from lemongrass extract to prevent contamination from flies on salted fish that are being dried. This study used a randomized group design (RAK) with 3 treatments and 3 replicates. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (Ansira), if there was a significant difference then continued with the BNJ further test. Sensory data were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis analysis. The results showed that the 10% extract concentration was able to make the larvae become limp and leave the container, while the 20% extract concentration was able to make the fly larvae die, the test of the effect of lemongrass extract spraying had a significant effect on fly larvae and was able to kill fly larvae and was more effective at a concentration of 20%. The results of the treatment of spraying 10% lemongrass extract can reduce flies that landed by 42% and 20% lemongrass extract can reduce flies by 81%, meaning that 20% lemongrass extract is most effective in preventing fly contamination. In sensory analysis such as smell, taste, color and texture showed significantly different values, while the appearance was not significantly different. In sensory analysis, F1 treatment was preferred by panelists. At temperature and humidity, flies were most prevalent at air temperatures ranging from 26-32ºC and air humidity measurements of 50-80%.
