INVENTARISASI SERANGGA PADA TANAMAN AREN (Arenga pinnata) DI DESA SUKARAJA KECAMATAN PEDAMARAN KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR (OKI)
The cultivation of aren palm plants is still not much in demand because there is still little information about the economic value of aren palm plants, aren palm plants have many benefits from roots, stems, leaves, and fruit most of the people utilize fruit and sap to make brown sugar and kolang kaling because of its economic value this research aims to find out what types of insects are found in aren palm plants and see the level of insect diversity found in aren palm plants. This research was conducted in Sukaraja Village, Pedamaran District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra in March - September 2023. Observations using survey methods and direct observation in the field with purposive sampling techniques using two Traps sweep net and yellow sticky, insects obtained from the research site were counted and preserved in the form of wet preserves using 70% alcohol and then identified in the Bacteriology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The results obtained from this study were documented with a macro lens found 3 orders with Hyemenoptera 8 species Diptera 1 species and Dermaptera 1 species. The highest abundance of pollinators with Drosophila species was 1039 and the abundance of predatory insects with Odontomachus buri species was 233, in the sweep net trap the insects obtained were 1266 with the average insects obtained were pollinators in the yellow trap the insects obtained were 588 with most of the insects obtained playing a role as predators, in the diversity index value in all traps obtained a value of o.62 with the meaning of insect diversity on palm plants is low, while in the calculation of the NCSS software obtained the influential device. The conclusion of the study obtained three orders in this study with Hyemenoptera eight species (Apis meliefera, Poliba occidentalis, Apis cerena, Vspula germanica, Polyrhachi, Polyrhachis dives, Odontomachus buri, Camponotus floridanus), Diptera one species (Drosophila sp.) and Dermaptera one species (Labiaminor sp). Insects found in the study area consisted of three orders, namely Hymenoptera, Diptera, and Dermaptera which act as pollinators and predators with diversity obtained with a value of 0.62 indicating the diversity of species on palm plants is low supported by NCSS software data processing that each trap is significantly different with P-value
