PENGARUH SUBSTITUSI RESIDIUM CATALYTIC CRACKING DAN LIMBAH PABRIK BATU TERHADAP NILAI KUAT GESER TANAH PADA TANAH LEMPUNG EKSPANSIF
The expansive clay soil is one kind of soil that matters to building’s foundations, because of bad soil properties. The sign of bad soil on high plasticity, low shear strength, the high changes of its volume and the potensial of big shrinkswell. It needs a reconstruction or soil stabilization to solve this problem. It will be chosen the alternative materials for soil stabilization in this research. The alterenative materials are Residium Catalytic Cracking (RCC) and stone dust. Therefore, it will be find the soil shear strength value by using triaxial test. The stages of this research consist of literature study, disturbed soil sampling, collecting the data in the laboratory, analyzing the result for the calculation of cohesion value, friction angle, and shear strength value with the composition of RCC 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and stone dust 0%, 20%, 25%, 30% in 0, 7 and 14 days as the treatment period. From the result and analyzing of the calculation, it was foud that fifteen variations of composition RCC and stone dust had cohesion value change, friction angle, and shear strength value with the remoulded soil condition. The optimum shear strength value on the variation of 6% RCC and 0% stone dust with 14 days treatment period was 1,519 kg/cm2.
