Mathematical modeling ability is the ability to solve real-world problems using mathematics, making it easier to find solutions. The purpose of this research is to describe college student’s abilities in solving mathematical modeling problems in the context of climate change. This type of research is descriptive research. Subject in this research were 47 university students from mathematics education at FKIP Sriwijaya University on 5th semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection technique used in this study was a written test which consisted of 2 description questions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the ability of FKIP Sriwijaya University students in solving mathematical modeling problems in the context of climate change for question number 1 is categorized very well with an average score of 84,04 and for question number 2 is categorized enough with an average score 50,48.
