This study aims to determine public's perceptions of mukun tradition in marriage customs at Simpang Raja Village, PALI Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. It used Nonprobability and purposive sampling so that there were seven informants with five main informants and two supporting informants. Data collection techniques of the study were documentation and interview.Based on the results of the data analysis, shows that this mukun tradition has been passed down from generation to generation and was carried out by previous ancestors, estimated around 1970. The community has a good perception because the community really knows the benefits and goals of this mukun tradition. to preserve mukun traditions as well as a place to establish friendships. The benefits of this mukun tradition are establishing friendship, helping the bride and groom in their household with household tools given as a reciprocal of the mukun.
