PENGGUNAAN PAKAN BERBAHAN BAKU LOKAL UNTUK PRODUKSI IKAN LELE DUMBO (CLARIAS GARIEPINUS) DAN PEMBENTUKAN BIOFLOK DENGAN PENAMBAHAN PROBIOTIK ASAL RAWA
Catfish production continues to increase, so it is necessary to make efforts to maintain this achievement, one of which is the development of intensive cultivation technology with biofloc system. The biofloc system can save feed, where the problem faced by fish farmers is that they still rely on commercial feeds which are relatively expensive. Efforts that can be made to save on feed costs are to make feed independently utilization local raw materials. This study aimed to determine the effect of utilization local raw materials feed for catfish production and increasing the efficiency of catfish feed by adding of probiotics from swamp in the biofloc system. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Aquaculture and Experimental Pond, Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya, on May-June 2023. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two treatments and three replications. The treatment given was (P1) commercial feed protein 29.55% and (P2) feed local raw material protein 28.30%. The results showed that P2 was able to provide the same performance as P1 with weight growth of 16.07 g, length growth of 5.81 cm, feed conversion ratio of 1.04, protein efficiency ratio 3.45, survival of 90.29%, biomass production of 21799.09 g, and floc volume ranges 5.00-38.00 mL L-1. The water quality during study namely temperature range from 26.60-32.10ºC, pH 6.36-7.68, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) 3.97-5.45 mg L-1, ammonia 0.47-1.96 mg L-1, and Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) of 434.67-1002.67 mg L-1.
