KEMAMPUAN TOLERANSI TERHADAP CEKAMAN KEKERINGAN PADA FASE GENERATIF AKSESI BC1F3 DARI HASIL PERSILANGAN PADI VARIETAS INPAGO 5 DAN INPARA 8
This study aims to evaluate the growth characters of BC1F3 rice accessions and their parents Inpago 5 and Inpara 8 varieties against drought stress in the generative phase. This research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research was conducted from July to December 2022. The research method used was Split Plots Design with 3 replications. The main plot is drought stress treatment (K) consisting of K0 = Control treatment (Field capacity), K1 = 6 days of drought and subplots are varieties and accession (V) consisting of V1 = Inpago (Female elders), V2 = Inpara 8 (Male elders), V3 = Accession BC1F3 (Inpago 5 x Inpara 8). The observed variables include plant height, number of tillers, leaf greenness, root length, root dry weight, crown dry weight, plant dry weight proportion, root crown ratio, flowering age, number of panicles per clump, number of grains per panicle, number of grains per clump, weight of filled grain per panicle, weight of filled grain per clump, weight of 100 grains, percentage of empty grain, dry weight of stover. The results of this study indicate that accession BC1F3 has a better production response after generative phase drought stress than Inpago 5 and Inpara 8 based on parameters such as root crown ratio, flowering age, number of grains per panicle, weight of paddy grain per panicle, weight of paddy grain per clump, percentage of hollow grain, and dry weight of stover.
