PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI BEBERAPA AKSESI BC2F2 DARI PERSILANGAN PADI VARIETAS INPAGO 5 DAN INPARA 8
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a staple food for the people of Indonesia, and is produced with various intensification and intensification efforts. Food needs, especially rice, from year to year are increasing along with the rate of population growth. The solution to overcome this problem is to create drought-resistant varieties through the process of plant crossing. Previous research has been conducted by crossing Inpago 5 variety rice as female elders with Inpara 8 variety rice as male elders, and has produced BC2F2 offspring. This study aims to determine the growth and production of several BC2F2 accessions and their elder varieties Inpago 5 and Inpara 8. This research was carried out in the experimental land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, North Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. From September to December 2022. The method to be used in this study is Group Random Design, with each treatment consisting of 3 repeats. The treatment used in this study consisted of 6 BC2F2 accessions, namely: T1, T2, T3, TR1, TR2, TR3 and its elders, namely rice varieties Inpago 5 and Inpara 8. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that Accession T2 is a plant that experiences the best growth and production compared to its elders, namely rice varieties Inpago 5 and Inpara 8. This can be seen in the parameters of plant height, number of pile saplings, flowering age, number of productive saplings, number of pile panicles, and number of grain piles. In the observation parameters of plant height, the number of saplings and flowering age of all BC2F2 accessions grew better than their elders, namely rice varieties inpago 5, and varieties inpara 8.
