Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of the plantation crops in Indonesia vegetable oil producer. One of the obstacles to oil palm development is soil fertility. This study aims to assess the soil fertility status of oil palm plantations at different plant ages, identify soil chemical parameters that are constraining soil fertility and efforts to increase soil fertility. This research was carried out in the community's oil palm land in Saung Dadi Village, Buay Pemuka Peliung District, East Oku Regency from February to May 2023. The method used was a detailed level survey. Determination of sampling points using a purposive sampling method, namely on oil palm land with a plant age of 8 years and 21 years consisting of 3 sample points each with ± 2 Ha representing each sample point. So that the number of sample points is 6 sample points. Soil sampling was disturbed at a depth of 0-30 cm. The results of soil chemical analysis showed that the C-Organic value of the soil was in the high to very high class, the CEC value in the soil was in the low class, the available P value in the soil was in the low to high class, the available K value in the soil was in the very low class, and the soil base saturation value was in the very low class. low to low. The status of soil fertility in all samples is in the low category. The limiting factors that cause low soil fertility in these locations are soil CEC, soil available P, soil available K and soil base saturation. Efforts to overcome limiting factors require adding SP-36 fertilizer and KCL fertilizer, to increase the Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) by adding organic material to the soil, while to increase the Base Saturation Value by applying lime
