Human life is inseparable from agreement in making of which Authentic deed is the people's choice. Notary is the only public official who authorized to make authentic deeds. In carrying out their function, notary is usually assisted by notary employees. They are only authorized to assist internal and external affairs of the office. If they exceed their authority, in the case of making a deed without the notary's knowledge, then the act committed can be classified as a forgery. In the case of Decision Number 996/Pid.B/2020/PN.PLG, a notary employee with the initials RV forged a deed at the SH notary office. This research is a normative legal study with statutory, case and conceptual approaches the legal materials of which were obtained from secondary data, i.e., primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, collected through library research and also supported by primary data, i.e., the results of observations and interviews, processed by inventory and systematized descriptions of research materials, with a deductive conclusion technique. The results indicate that the responsibility for falsifying the deed of the collective assets by a notary employee is criminal responsibility. This is based on the Judge's decision and in accordance with the legal facts that in forging the deed he violated the provisions of Article 264 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code (KUHP), with an imposing a prison sentence of 10 (ten) months. To prevent forgery by employees of a notary, the notary can implement the principles of good office governance and select good quality employees. Furthermore, they must emphasize the application of the principles of notary function implementation based on Notary Office Regulation (UUJN)
