PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) VARIETAS VIOLETTA 2
Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are an agricultural commodity that is often used and consumed as a seasoning in cooking. Apart from being a seasoning in cooking, shallots can also be consumed directly as a traditional medicine. Shallot crops include agribusiness commodities and seasonal types of horticultural crops that have high economic value. Chicken manure is an organic fertilizer that has advantages in providing nutrients, namely nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (P) and calcium (Ca) levels have properties that are relatively quickly decomposed. Chicken manure can also have a very good influence because it can add nutrients and can also improve the physical properties and activities of soil microorganisms. This study was conducted to determine the effect of applying Chicken Manure on the growth and yield of onion plants (Allium ascalonicum L) Violetta Variety 2. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research was conducted in June – August 2022. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments, each treatment consisted of 3 tests then each test there were 3 plants, so that there were 36 plant units. The treatment consists of P0 = Control, P1 = 8:1 (soil volume : chicken manure volume), P2 = 7:2 (soil volume : chicken manure volume) and P3 = 6:3 (soil volume : chicken manure volume). The parameters observed in this study include leaf length, number of leaves, degree of leaf greenness, number of saplings, number of tubers, root length, tuber diameter, chlorophyll analysis, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of tuber wind, wet weight, dry weight of berangkasan. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the treatment of chicken manure with a dose of P2 = 7:2 (soil volume : volume of chicken manure) gave very significant results on the parameters of leaf length in the 7th and 8th weeks, the number of leaves in the 4th week until the 7th week, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of wind tubers, fresh weight, and dry weight.
