PENGARUH ISOLASI DAN NON ISOLASI TERHADAP UMUR PEMAKAIAN DYE SENSITIZED SOLAR CELL (DSSC) MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK DAUN DAN BUAH TUMBUHAN NIPAH (nypa fruticans)
Dye-sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) can convert solar energy into electrical energy using dye as a sensitizer. The dyes used in this study were nipa leaf and fruit extracts. This study aims to study and determine the effect of service life on the performance of dye-sensitive solar cells (DSSC) using dye extracts of nipa palm leaves and fruit with isolation, non-isolation, and non-isolation treatment with the addition of one dose of iodine. The material used in this study was leaf and fruit from the nipa plant. This research was conducted at the Biosystems Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, from January 2023 to June 2023. This data was processed using a descriptive method. Parameters observed were the measurement of absorbance of nipa leaf chlorophyll and absorbance of nipa palm carotene dye, measurement of current and voltage, power calculation, measurement of Fill Factor (filling factor), calculation of DSSC efficiency, and long service life of DSSC circuits. A comparison was obtained between samples of shelf life in the isolation treatment of Nipa palm leaves lasting 12 days and fruit lasting 9 days. In the non-isolation treatment, the nipa leaves and fruit lasted for 14 days or more, and for the non-isolation treatment, the addition of one dose of iodine can last for 3 days.
