EVALUASI PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI SERTA IDENTIFIKASI DAN SELEKSI SUB-POPULASI PADI BERAS HITAM (Oryza sativa L. indica) AKSESI IP 6.8.5 DAN AKSESI IP 6.11.4
This study aims to evaluate the growth and seed production of black rice accession IP 6.8.5 and accession IP 6.11.4 by identifying and selecting mother plants in each accession that have the potential to become candidate varieties and selecting mother plant seeds that have the potential to become parent candidates for new varieties., by looking at several parameters in terms of growth and production of black rice rice plants namely, plant height, total number of tillers, flowering age, number of productive tillers, number of panicles, panicle length, number of panicles with >85% maturity, percentage of number of panicles with maturity>85%, total dry grain, total dry grain weight, number of healthy grain, rice grain weight, 100 grain weight, and yield index. This research was conducted in rice fields located in Gelebak Dalam, Sako Village, Rambutan District, Banyu Asin Regency, South Sumatra. This research was carried out in May 2022 – August 2022. In this study there were two accessions of black rice rice plants where there were 84 plants in IP 6.8.5 accession and 80 plants in IP 6.11.4 accession.Rice in both accessions was planted in fields with an area of 2 x 10 m, with a spacing between plants of 30 x 30 cm and a distance between accessions of 40 cm. intersections as well as identification and selection of selected mother plants, for each selected parental method the graph and quadrant methods were used and the calculation of the value of diversity in each of the observed parameters.Parametric statistical test analysis was also carried out using a two sample T-test or two independent sample T-test by comparing 2 seed accessions to determine that the population means were statistically significantly different.Statistical analysis calculations were performed using the Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) program. The results obtained from this study were that there were 8 Sub-populations from both accessions that could be recommended as new varieties, namely SP-Regita-1 to SP-Regita-8. Keywords: Accession, Black- rice, Sub-Population.
