This study aims to evaluate the quality of compost tea made from lotus treated with and without aeration and with several ratios of compost to water and its application to kangkong (Ipomea reptans Poir.). The experiment consists of 2 stages. The design used in the first stage of the experiment was a completely randomized design (CRD) with the following treatments: A0 (solid lotus compost), A1 (aerated 1:5 (w/v) lotus compost tea), A2 (1:10 lotus compost tea (b/v) /v) aerated), A3 (non-aerated 1:5 (b/v) lotus compost tea), and A4 (non-aerated 1:10 (b/v) lotus compost tea). In the second stage of the experiment, CRD was also used with the treatment of compost tea application on kangkong plants which consisted of 5 treatment levels, namely: A0 (AB mix), A1 (lotus compost tea 1:5 (b/v) aerated), A2 (tea 1:10 (w/v) aerated lotus compost), A3 (non-aerated 1:5 (w/v) lotus compost), and A4 (non-aerated 1:10 (w/v) lotus compost). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. From the research, it can be concluded that based on the results of the research it can be concluded that compost that is aerated with a ratio of compost and water of 1:5 (w/v) has the best compost quality. Treatment of aerated compost with a compost and water ratio of 1:5 (w/v) applied to kangkong plants using the hydroponic method gave the best results on plant height, number of leaves, and root length variables when applied to kangkong plants (Ipomea reptans Poir.) Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that making lotus compost tea can be done with a ratio of 1:5 (w/v) lotus compost and water using aeration with 3 days of soaking time. Compost tea with this ratio and given aeration during its manufacture can be used as a hydroponic growing medium_for_kangkung_plants.
