The purpose of this study is to determine the mother's view of the value of children in the family in terms of psychological, social and economic values in Karya Jaya Village, Kertapati District, Palembang. This type of research uses a descriptive type with quantitative methods. The total population is 3,200 Heads of Families with a sample of 97 housewives. The sampling technique uses probability sampling by means of simple random sampling. The data collection method uses questionnaires with instrument testing through validity tests and reliability tests. The results showed that mothers' perceptions of children's value in the family as a whole were more dominant in economic values with an overall score of 44.65%. Mothers perceive their children to be expected to participate in seeking and providing economic assistance for the family, to support the family's economic life when parents are getting older, followed by the social value category with an overall score of 44.45%, and the smallest is in the psychological value category with an overall score of 44.08%. Mothers view the value of children tends to be in economic value so it is expected for mothers not to forget the psychological value and social value of children in the family, because these two values are also important in order to harmonize the existence of children's values in the family.
