In Pagar Alam city there are some accident points, Depati H. Duaji Street has the highest rate of traffic accidents than other road segments point in the city of Pagar Alam. Depati H. Duaji Street has a road length of about 6 km with a road width of 6 meters. Consisting of 2 lane with 2 lanes. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of traffic accidents that occur by analyzing secondary data, determination of accident-prone areas, knowing the factors that cause accidents and traffic accidents handling Solutions. A safety analysis carried out by characterizing the accident based on a literature review, based on the class of accident victims, by the time of the accident, based on the parties involved in the accident are age, job, driver's license, education, gender, based on the position and type of collision, based on the vehicles involved and based the causes of the accident. Based on the research data showed that the number of traffic accidents in the last 3 years ie 2012, 2013, and 2014 has increased in 2014 and decreased in 2015. In this same study conducted obtained bahwasannya cause of traffic accidents that occur variegated, some of which are omissions driver of the vehicle itself (human error) and lack of availability of adequate infrastructure on roads prone to traffic accidents. Depati H. Duaji Street a traffic accident prone locations (blackspot) is the highest in Pagar Alam with AEK value of 346. STA V Depati H.
