PERENCANAAN TANGGUL UNTUK PENGENDALIAN BANJIR DI SUNGAI KEDUKAN KOTA PALEMBANG
Sub-watershed Boang is a part of Musi Watershed located in Palembang. Subwatershed Boang covers three districts; those are Gandus, Ilir Barat I, and Ilir Barat II. This watershed has several rivers, including Kedukan River, PAM River, Kedukan Lama River, Sawah River, and so forth. One of the major problems in Kedukan river is flooding which occurs around river due to the overflow of water. In such cases, the flood causes waterlogged and disrupt local communities’ activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze water level during flood in Kedukan River using HEC-RAS Software, to find the suitable dimension of reservoir needed to control the flood in Kedukan River, and also to analyze the stability of flood control reservoir in Kedukan River. In this study, design flood discharge within 25 years of retum period which is equal to 85.418 m3/sec was used as a safety amount of discharge in flood prevention. The result of this simulation showed that flood occured in most of the river area. The level of reservoir was equal to maximum elevation of water level plus 0.6 m ffeeboard, 3 m of levee crown width, with a 1:2 soil slope. After the re-simulated process, the result showed that Kedukan River was capabled to store design flood discharge. From river stability analysis using Bishop Method, we can get the safety number required to prevent landslides.
