RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) VARIETAS BIMA BREBES TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG KOTORAN AYAM
This study aims to determine the response of growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) of the Bima Brebes variety to the application of chicken manure. This research be carried out in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra with coordinates 003˚13′00″ South Latitude and 104˚38′16″ East Longitude. Meanwhile, analysis activities were carried out at the Plant Physiology Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Sriwijaya University from May to August 2023. The design used in this research was a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times and received 12 treatment units, each the treatment unit contained 21 plants with a sample of 3 plants, so that the total number of plants was 252 plants. The doses of chicken manure used in this study were P0 = 0 tons ha-1 (control or without chicken manure), P1 = 10 tons ha-1 (1.5 kg plot-1), P2 = 20 tons ha-1 (3 kg plot-1), P3 = 30 tons ha-1 (4.5 kg plot-1). The variables observed in this study were leaf length, number of leaves, number of tillers, leaf greenness level, chlorophyll content, leaf area, root length, number of bulbs, bulbs diameter, bulbs length, bulbs volume, fresh weight of bulbs, dry weight of bulbs, fresh weight of stalks, dry weight of stalks and production per plot. The results of the research showed that the application of chicken manure at a rate of 30 tons ha-1 (P3) had the best effect on the growth and production of shallot plants of the Bima Brebes variety.
