This study aims to determine the interest and achievement motivation of archery athletes in South Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The variables in this study are the interest and achievement motivation of archery athletes. The population of this study were all archery athletes in South Sumatra. The sample of this study was 40 archery athletes in South Sumatra. Data collection techniques to measure the interest and motivation of archery athletes use a questionnaire via Google Forms with 60 questions consisting of 20 questions of interest and 40 questions of achievement motivation. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the interest and achievement motivation of archery athletes with an average percentage of 12.5% is included in the very low category, and 12.5% is included in the very low category. So from the results of this study it is necessary to increase the support both in terms of infrastructure and motivation from various parties, both from the government, families and the Indonesian Archery Association (PERPANI) which are related to the interest and motivation of archery athletes in South Sumatra, so that more athletes excel in Sumatra.
