This research aims to determine the role of village-owned enterprises in empowering the community through traditional market management in Bulang Village, Muara Enim Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive type of research. Data collection used interviews, observation and documentation with research subjects totaling six respondents. The results obtained in this research are: 1) increasing income and economic development of the community has been achieved well, where with the existence of a traditional market, community income has continued to increase from the beginning of the market until now and with the existence of this traditional market it has also opened up employment opportunities for the people of Bulang Village. . 2) Improving the quality of life in Bulang village, has fulfilled seven quality of life indicators where the basic needs of the community have been met, for example, with the existence of a market, the community can build decent houses, health and education. 3) Growing the rural economy of Bulang village, this economic growth has been going well where the existence of this traditional market can increase village income as well as development of community productivity, and a high level of urbanization.
