Society are offered a variety of transportation modes for the Palembang-Lampung route. Commercial car Services, buses, trains and airplanes are some of the transportation modes available, and each mode has advantages and disadvantages that will be taken into consideration before one chooses a mode. The factors that one will consider before choosing a transportation mode includes safety, convenience, Service, cost and punctuality of the mode. The mode one will choose depends on which factor that certain person values the most. Besides mode priority, this research also studies the characteristics of the people who travels the Palembang-Lampung route. This research uses Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the hierarchy of transportation mode priority. Data showed that 59,17% transportation users are male, 24,77% are 36-45 years old, 64,68% are employed people with a income range of 1-3 million rupiahs per month, and 36,24% are job seekers. Based on the criteria of consideration, the priority transportation mode choice of society are airplanes with a total of 49,7% users.
