PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EKSTRAK ASAM KANDIS DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP PERFORMA ITIK PEKING
This study aimed to determine the performance of Peking ducks with the addition of kandis acid extract in the ration. This research was conducted for six weeks in the experimental animal laboratory of the Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Experimented was use in this research using 64 Peking ducks aged 10 weeks. The study consisted of 4 treatments and was repeated 4 times. The treatments were R0 (ration without treatment), R1 (ration + kandis acid extract pH 2.3), R2 (ration + kandis acid extract pH 3.3) and R3 (ration + kandis acid extract pH 4.3). Data analysis was carried out in the form of data tabulation and standard deviation and was read descriptively. The variables observed were body weight gain, ration consumption and ration conversion. The results of this study indicate that the addition of kandis acid extract pH 3.3 to the ration can optimize performance with a ration conversion of 7.37 compared to other treatments. The conclusion of this study is that the addition of kandis acid extract to the ration can optimally increase body weight gain, ration consumption and conversion of Peking duck rations.
