This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of lime dosage and planting method on the growth and production of rice variety Inpari IR Nutri Zinc at peat soil. It will be held from November 2022 to February 2023, on the land the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University (3.21988446S 104.64718365E). The design used was a split plot design, with the main plot of lime doses including K1 = lime 0 tons/ha, K2 = lime 1 ton/ha, K3 = lime 2 tons/ha. And the subplot planting method includes T1 = direct seed planting, T2 = transplanting. The data obtained from the results of observations and measurements were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the least significant difference test (LSD) of 5% to evaluate differences between treatments. Variables observed were plant height (cm), number of tillers per clump (stem), number of productive tillers per clump (stem), flowering age (dap), leaf area (cm2), level of greenness of leaves, panicle length per clump (cm) , the weight of harvested filled grain per clump (g), the weight of 1000 grain grains (g), the percentage of empty grain (%), and the dry weight of plants (g). The results showed that the dosage of lime and the planting method affected the growth and production of the Inpari IR Nutri Zinc rice variety. Lime treatment dose of 2 tons/ha and transplanting method is the best treatment. There was an interaction between the lime dose treatment and the planting method on the variables of the number of tillers per hill, the number of productive tillers per hill, and the weight of filled grain per hill. Direct seed planting method is faster flowering. And the lime dose of 0 ton/ha has no effect on the growth and production of the Inpari IR Nutri Zinc rice variety. Keyword: Peat, Inpari IR Nutri Zinc, lime, direct seed planting, transplanting
