Most of Indonesia's population work as farmers so that the agricultural sector plays a very important role in Indonesia. Horticultural crops are one of the profitable commodities because they can increase economic growth while food crops are plants that can produce a source of carbohydrates and protein. The process of cultivating this group of plants encountered several obstacles, especially the controls applied by farmers in cultivating these plants. Constraints faced are the presence of pests and diseases. This attack can be detrimental to farmers because it can reduce crop yields. Therefore, to overcome pests or diseases, it is necessary to control them. The method used in this study was surveillance using questionnaire form to be filled out by respondent farmers followed by observations on the farmers' land. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that most farmers already know about PHT, but from the results of field observations, pest damages and disease intensity are not inversely proportional to farmers' knowledge about PHT.
