The management of swampland has the main problem of fluctuating and unpredictable water regime conditions. The water level of the swamp in this study was measured using a piezometer and the rainfall of the location was measured using an ombrometer. This research was conducted from October 2022 to December 2022 in the Installation of Research and Assessment of Agricultural Technology in Kayuagung, South Sumatra. The methods used in this research were literature study and observation by measuring evapotranspiration rate using modified Penman analysis and soil permeability using constant head method in the laboratory. The research parameters in this study are Water Level, Rainfall, Evapotranspiration Rate, and Soil Permeability Value. The measurement results of the highest average water level in each typology of swamp land are 1.7 cm; 9.7 cm and 49 cm while the lowest is -35.5 cm; -5 cm and 24.3 cm. The highest rainfall intensity measurements obtained were 42 mm/day and 336 mm/month while the lowest were 1 mm/day and 164 mm/month. The calculation of evapotranspiration rate obtained the highest value is 16.40 mm/day and the lowest is 14.21 mm/day. For the average value of soil permeability obtained with soil samples of shallow, middle and deep swamp land typology are 1.3 cm/hour; 0.9 cm/hour, and 0.4 cm/hour. The pattern of water level fluctuations in the swamp land has a relationship with each factor, namely rainfall, evapotranspiration and soil permeability.
