This study aims to describe the structure, explore the meaning and function of utterances in the Jambu village community. Researchers are interested in conducting this study to find out more about structure of meaning and function of in sedekah apam tradition, which is still alive today in the midst of the Jambu village community, which is studied through an anthropolinguistic approach and lexical semantic theory. This research is included in qualitative research with qualitative descriptive research methods. Data analysis techniques used are translation, transcription, and analysis techniques. The source of the data in this study was the result of interviews with the native including the traditional leaders, religious leaders, and the surrounding community. The result of this study are that there are three main structures in tradition of sedekah apam, three main utterances and their meanings also seven function of sedekah apam. As for the structure, it includes the preparation stage for the venue and equipment for officers in sedekah apam ceremony, and finally, the implementation stage. While the result of the study show that the meaning and function of utterances in the sedekah apam tradition are as an expression of gratitude, a prayer request so that their plants will thrive and avoid pets attacks, a form of respect for ancestral heritage, strengthening friendship, and a request to always be protected from disaster.
