PENGARUH KELENGKUNGAN SINGKAL YANG DILAPISI SENG DAN ALUMINIUM TERHADAP KEBUTUHAN ENERGI PADA PENGOLAHAN TANAH ULTISOL
This research aims to determine the effect of curvature of the moldboard plow coated by zinc and aluminum sheets to energy requirements in ultisol soil. This research was conducted at the Research Center of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya from December 2022 to January 2023. This research was conducted using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two treatment factors consisting of factor A and factor B. Each treatment was three replications, with factor A being the degree treatment curvature of the plough which consists of A1 (120), A2 (130), and A3 (140), while factor B is the treatment of the coating material of the plough which consists of B1 (without coating), B2 (using zinc coating), and B3 (using coating aluminum). Parameters observed consisted of the main parameters and supporting parameters, the main parameters consisted of energy consumption, oil stickiness, working depth of plowing, plowing height, working width of plowing, and wheel slip. The results of the research indicate that the best plowing energy requirements with the hand tractor are found in the A3B3 treatment which has the lowest energy consumption of 94.710 kcal/ha and the highest in the A2B1 treatment of 126.280 kcal/ha. The combination of the curvature angle of 140° and the aluminum layer resulted in the lowest average soil adhesiveness of 71.67 grams. The soil attached to the plow will affect the results of tillage because it will hinder the process of cutting and turning the soil so that the results of plowing are not perfect. In addition, it will affect the energy consumption of the plow. Keywords: Moldboard, Zinc, Aluminum, Curvature, Energy, Ultisol.
