KANDUNGAN KADMIUM PADA TANAH SAWAH DAN TANAMAN PADI DI DESA MARGA CINTA, BELITANG MADANG RAYA, OGAN KOMERING ULU TIMUR
Agriculture is one sector that is still the mainstay of most Indonesians. Agricultural activities cannot be separated from the fertilization process. Most farmers think that the more fertilizer they provide, the better the yield will be. Excessive fertilization using inorganic fertilizers (especially P fertilizers) can increase the levels of Cadmium metal (Cd) in agricultural soil. Cadmium (Cd), is a potentially toxic metal, very dangerous for the environment and humans. This study aims to determine the content of the heavy metal cadmium (Cd) in soil and rice plants in rice fields in Marga Cinta Village, Belitang Madang Raya District, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The method used in this study is by using a detailed survey method. The area of paddy fields where the research will be carried out is 96 hectares. And divided into 6 locations for the distribution of these locations Per 16 hectares of rice fields, in 1 location 5 sample points were taken which were drilled as deep as 0-30cm then they would be composited. The results showed that the content of heavy metal cadmium (Cd) in paddy soil had exceeded the threshold and in rice plants also the content of heavy metal cadmium (Cd) had exceeded the threshold. The results of the study suggest that farmers should consider using fertilizers that contain P and must be balanced by using organic fertilizers so that the heavy metal cadmium (Cd) content in the soil does not increase again by reducing the use of other chemical fertilizers and then carrying out organic fertilization and carrying out phytoremediation of planting. plants that can absorb heavy metals.
