PENGEMBANGAN PELESTARIAN AKSARA KA GA NGA MELALUI BADAN MUSYAWARAH ADAT DI kABUPATEN REJANG LEBONG PROVINSI BENGKULU
Abstract This thesis examines the local Ka Ga Nga script and its preservation efforts in the REJANG TRIBEIN REJANG LEBONG DISTRICT. The issues that will be raised are how the Ka Ga Nga script develops and how efforts are made to preserve it. The purpose of this study is to describe the development of the Ka Ga Nga script and efforts to preserve it. In conducting the study, historical or historical research methods were used with anthropological and sociological approaches, where the research was conducted in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu province. The results obtained are that the Ka Ga Nga script is estimated to have developed rapidly in southern Sumatra in the 16th to 17th centuries AD as a result of the development of the Pallawa and Kawi scripts. The Ka Ga Nga script itself has developed a lot in Sumatra and Sulawesi. This indicates that the Ka Ga Nga script is related to the script in Bugis land. However, with the passage of time and the unification of the language of the homeland, the Ka Ga Nga script itself has decreased in its distribution among the Rejang Lebong people so that the government and local customary bodies continue to strive to preserve the Ka Ga Nga script. The Customary Consultative Body is making efforts to restore the cultural heritage of the Rejang Lebong tribe, especially the Ka Ga Nga script so that it does not disappear in the future by carrying out various pre-emptive efforts. Keywords: Preservation, Ka Ga Nga, Local Script, Rejang Lebong
