Dragon fruit plants (Hylocereus poliyhizus) are horticultural crops that have the potential to be developed in Indonesia. Cultivation of dragon fruit plants is not immune from pests and diseases. Pests that commonly attack dragon fruit plants consist of molluscs, vertebrates and several type of insects. This study aims to determine the associated insects on dragon fruit plants in the village of Menang Raya, Pedamaran VI Village, Ogan Komering Ilir District and Timbangan Urban Village, Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra. This study used purposive sampling on dragon fruit pants. The results showed that 12 types of insects were found on dragon fruit plants belonging to 11 families and 5 orders. There are 4 types of insects that have the potential to become pests, namely Borthrogonia addita, Dysdercus cingulatus, Leptoglossus phyllopus, and Pseudococcidae. There are 7 types of insects that act as predators, namely Brachythemis contaminata, Condylostylus sipho, Minimum Monomorium, Oecophylla longinoda, Omocestus viridulus, Sarcophaga sp, and Xenogryllus marmoratus. There is one type of pollinating insect, namely Musca domestica. In dragon fruit plants, organisms other than insects were also found, namely snails (Achatina fulica), long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) and spiders Thorelliota ensifera. Slugs and long-tailed macaques are potential pests and spiders are potential natural enemies or predators. The index values of insect species in dragon fruit plantations in Menang Raya Village, Pedamaran Village and Timbangan Urban Village were 1,42, 1,87 and 1,82, respectively. The index values for the evenness of insects in Menang Raya Village, Pedamaran Village and Timbangan Urban Village were 0,65, 0,75 and 0,76, respectively. Dominance indexes in Menang Raya Village, Pedamaran Village and Timbangan Urban Village were 0,06, 0,08 and 0,08 respectively.
