MODEL SPASIAL BERBASIS LANDSAT 8 UNTUK PEMANTAUAN TANAMAN REVEGETASI PADA LAHAN PASCATAMBANG BATUBARA DI TANJUNG ENIM
Monitoring of revegetation areas is necessary to assess the succession of reclamation activities in post-mining areas. Geographic information system can be an alternative for monitoring a vegetation area. The advantage of using GIS is that it allows monitoring activities to be monitored more regularly with a larger area of land and for a longer time. Landsat 8 imagery is a remote sensing method that can be used to monitor revegetation in reclamation area. This study aims to examine the level of vegetation density as a monitor for plant revegetation in the form of a spatial model based on Landsat 8 imagery using the NDVI method. The parameters observed were NDVI values from 2021 to 2023 in the planting years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and classified according to vegetation index. The results of this study indicate that landsat 8 imagery can be used to monitor revegetation plants because it qualify the RMSe ≤ 1. In 2021 the highest NDVI distribution index was in low vegetation covering area of 19.49 hectares, in 2022 the highest NDVI distribution index was in medium vegetation covering area of 24.08 hectares and until mid-2023 the highest NDVI distribution index was still in medium vegetation covering area of 29.24 hectares
