KANDUNGAN TIMBAL DAN KADMIUM PADA ITIK YANG DIPELIHARA SECARA INTENSIF DAN EKSTENSIF
Lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) pollution in the environment can accumulate in living things around the duck environment because ducks are birds that live freely in the human environment. The purpose of this study was to compare and determine the relationship between Pb and Cd content in ducks reared intensively and extensively (grazed in swamp area). A total of 36 ducks were sampled from farmers and markets around Palembang and Indralaya. Furthermore, meat and liver samples were taken, dried and measured for metal content using Microwave Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (MP-AES). The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation test and t test using McExell and SPSS. The results showed that intensive and extensive rearing systems had significant differences in Pb and Cd content. The Pb content in duck breast meat reared extensively was lower while the Cd content in the liver was higher. There is no strong correlation between the content of the two metals.
