This study aims to (1) calculate and compare the income of rice farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District before the flood and after the flood, (2) analyze the welfare level of rice farmer households affected by the flood in Pulokerto Village, and (3) analyze the strategy of rice farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District in dealing with the impact of floods on household welfare. This research was conducted in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District, Palembang City. Data collection will take place in March 2023. The research method used in this study is a survey method. The data used in this study was the Simple Random Sampling method by taking 40 rice farmers from 340 rice farmers in Pulokerto Village. The data processing method used in this study used a two-pair t-test. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was a difference in income of up to 28.09%. or Rp.3,171,675/Lg/Mt between before and after the flood where income after the flood decreased rice production due to the flood. Based on the results of the T test (Paired sample test) obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 where the value of Sig. (2-tailed) ≤ 0.05. Therefore, Ho's rejection conclusion was obtained where there was a significant difference between income before and after the flood. The level of household welfare based on the Decent Living Needs (KHL) standard shows that the total income of rice farmer households after the flood is Rp2,711,829/month less than the KHL standard for farmer families, which is Rp2,868,841/month. It can be concluded that the welfare level of rice farmers affected by floods in Pulokerto Village is classified as unprosperous. The survival strategies carried out by rice farmers in dealing with the impact of floods on household welfare are active strategies, passive strategies, and network strategies. The most high-ranking strategy is a passive strategy where farmers save their household expenses
