PENGARUH BERBAGAI CARA PENGENDALIAN GULMA DAN PUPUK KANDANG SAPI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) SERTA PERTUMBUHAN GULMA
This study aimed to obtain the method of weed control, the best doses of cow manure and their combinations on the growth and yield of corn. This research was carried out in Palembang, South Sumatra, from September to December 2022. This study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was weed control with 3 treatments, P0 : no control, P1 : 2 times weeding at 3 weeks and 6 weeks after planting and, P2 : 2 times weed control with herbicides at the age of 3 and 6 weeks after planting. The second factor was cow manure with 3 treatments, K1 : 10 tons ha-1 cow manure, K2 : 15 tons ha-1 cow manure and K3 : 20 tons ha-1 cow manure, all treatments were repeated 3 times. The results showed that weed control using atrazine herbicide 2 times weed control with herbicides at the age of 3 and 6 weeks gave the best results, treatment of cow manure 15 tons ha-1 gave the best result, (P2K2) treatment of cow manure 15 tons ha-1 and weed control using atrazine herbicide 2 times weed control with herbicides at the age of 3 and 6 weeks gave the best effect on the growth and yield of corn plants. Before treatment, the dominant weed species was Mikania micrantha with SDR 14.02%, while the dominant weed after treatment was Cyperus rotundus with SDR value of 25.75%. In corn fields after treatment, there were 5 species of new weeds that grow, they were Sisyrinchium angustifolium, Melastoma malabathricum, Imperata cylindrica, Cyanthillium cinereum, Cyperus rotundus. There were 3 spesies weed no longer present in corn fields after weed control and cow manure treatment Ludwigia hyssopifolia, Mimosa pigra, Centrosema pubescens.
