KEMAMPUAN TOLERANSI TERHADAP CEKAMAN TERENDAM FASE VEGETATIF AKSESI BC1F1 HASIL PERSILANGAN PADI VARIETAS INPAGO 10 DAN INPARA 8
This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the growth and production of Inpago 10 and Inpara 8 varieties, and BC1F1 accession (resulted from the crossing between Inpago 10 and Inpara 8 varieties) after experiencing submergence stress. This research started from July to December in the greenhouse of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. BC1F1 accession results were the result of crossing Inpago 10 as the female parent and Inpara 8 as the male parent. The method used in this study was Split Plot Design with two treatments and three replications. The main plot was submerged stress treatment (S) and the subplot was rice varieties and accession (V). Parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of tillers per clump (stem), level of greenness of leaves, number of leaves, age of flowering (DAP), age of harvest (DAP), number of grain per panicle, weight of grain per panicle (g), panicle length (cm), number of panicles per clump, grain weight per panicle (g), weight of 100 grains of grain (g), percentage of empty grain (%), proportion of plant dry weight and shoot root ratio (g). BC1F1 rice accession resulted from crosses of Inpago 10 and Inpara 8 rice varieties did not show good performance to submerged stress treatment as seen from growth and production parameters where BC1F1 accession plants only had the best results on only a few parameters. The rice variety that gave the best tolerance result on growth and production in the submerged stress treatment from this study was Inpara 8 variety.
