Ceratocystis sp. is a pathogen that attacks various types of host plants, one of which is the duku plant (Lansium domesticum). This pathogen attacks the vascular tissue of the duku plant causing wilting of the leaves, cancer, black rot of storage roots, and even death. One way to control Ceratocystis disease is biological control using antagonistic fungi. Non-endophytic fungi that usually live in the rhizosphere area have the potential to be used as biological control agents. The aims of this study were to explore the diversity of non-endophytic fungal antagonistic microorganisms from duku plant roots and to conduct antagonistic tests of non-endophytic fungal isolates from duku plant roots in suppressing Ceratocystis which causes wilting in duku plants. It is hoped that this research will provide information about the diversity of non-endophytic microbial species present in duku plant roots and their potential to suppress the Ceratocystis pathogen that causes duku wilt disease. This research was conducted from June to December 2022. This research was conducted using a survey in four districts in South Sumatra, namely Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, Ogan Ilir Regency, Musi Banyuasin Regency, and Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. Sampling was carried out using a purposive random sampling method. Isolation and antagonist tests were carried out at the Phytopathology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications. The results of this study indicate that mushrooms from different districts have different characteristics, morphology and levels of potential as antagonists. Based on the inhibition test for each isolate, it showed that JPJ 2 isolate originating from Ogan Komering Ulu district had the highest inhibition level with a value of 77 % and DP6B 3 originating from Ogan Komering Ilir had the lowest inhibition level with a value of 20 %.
