UJI KINERJA HAND TRACTOR RODA KARET PADA PENGOLAHAN TANAH DENGAN VARIASI KEDALAMAN PEMBAJAKAN, KECEPATAN PUTARAN DAN BEBAN PEMBERAT TERHADAP KEBUTUHAN BAHAN BAKAR
This research aims to determine and study the performance test of a rubber-wheeled hand tractor with variations in plowing depth, speed, and load weight on fuel consumption during plowing in dry land. The research was conducted from May 4, 2023, to June 14, 2023, at the Experimental and Research Garden of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research was a randomized block factorial design. The treatments in this study were plowing depth, speed, and load weight. The parameters observed in this research included the main parameter of fuel consumption, while the supporting parameters consisted of wheel slip, tractor forward speed, soil density, percentage of soil inversion, wheel load pressure, and crossing time. The results of this research showed that the performance test of the hand tractor indicated that the highest fuel consumption value was obtained with a plowing depth of 15 cm, speed of 4 km/h, and no load weight, which was 7.30 ml/lap, while the lowest fuel consumption was obtained with a plowing depth of 10 cm, speed of 3.5 km/h, and a load weight of 150 kg, which was 3.90 ml/lap.
