This research aims to meet the homeowner's needs in designing a garden in their residential front yard with a Healing Garden concept, with the goal of creating a natural environment that can have a positive impact on the mental and emotional well-being of the residents. The research was conducted with a focus on planning and designing a garden on a privately owned land with an area of 1000m2 located on Bukit Siguntang, Palembang, South Sumatra. The research method used a qualitative approach through field observations and interviews with the garden owner, as well as planning and design stages that include 1) Preparation, 2) Inventory and Analysis, 3) Integration (Synthesis), 4) Planning and Design, and 5) Finalization of the Design. During the research process, data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that the garden design concept applied was inspired by the principles of the Healing Garden concept, which emphasizes the recovery and restoration of mental and emotional balance through soothing nature experiences. The front yard design was planned and designed with complex considerations and followed the collected data. The garden design was presented in visual formats such as 2D and 3D images and videos, using software such as Google Sketch Up 2019, Lumion, and other supporting tools. The garden design can be realized with a detailed budget of IDR 320.938.930,00 (three hundred and twenty million nine hundred and thirty-eight thousand nine hundred and thirty). Therefore, this research can contribute to meeting the homeowner's needs for a garden that can improve the mental and emotional well-being of the residents. This research can also serve as a reference for the development of healthy and soothing gardens on privately owned land
