FAKTOR-FAKTOR PEMBATAS PERTUMBUHAN VEGETASI YANG DISUKAI LEBAH MADU DI LAHAN GAMBUT.
Peat is formed from residual vegetation (organic matter) which has accumulated but experienced a decomposition process which was hampered due to unfavorable environmental conditions. Peat restoration can be carried out using the 3R approach, namely rewetting, revegetation and revitalization. The peat restoration carried out in this study uses a revitalization approach which is related to the community's economy through cultivation carried out on peatlands. This study aims to determine the limiting factors that influence the growth of vegetation favored by honey bees and determine how to increase actual land suitability to potential land suitability. This research was conducted at the Sriwijaya Botanical Garden UPTB in Bakung Village, Indralaya Utara District. The method used in this study was a case study, in which the type of vegetation favored by honey bees was used as a case, and analysis was carried out in the laboratory. Soil sampling was carried out using random sampling technique in 3 areas with different depths. The temporal limiting factors at each area are N, P and Ph, besides KTK is a limiting faktor at V4 for acacia. Improvement of this temporal limiting factor can be fertilization and calcilification. Permanent limiting factors are peat depth found in V4 and V10 and also peat maturity in V10. There are one level improvement in V14, V4 dan V10 from N to S3. Keywords: Acacia, Eucalyptus, Gelam, Honey Bee, Limiting Factors, Peat
