The aim of this study is to explain the type and function of conversational implicatures in the dialog of Kulari Ke Pantai movie directed by Riri Riza and its implications in Indonesian Language subject. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method and pragmatics approaches. The data source of this study is Kulari Ke Pantai movie directed by Riri Riza. The data in this study was obtained through the transcription of conversation from the movie into text. This study using conversational implicatures theory by Yule to analyzing the conversational implicatures and using illocutions speech acts by Searle to analyzing the function of implicatures. The results showed that there were 50 data’s of conversations in the movie that contained conversational implicatures. Depends on the 50 data’s, there were 8 data’s of generalized conversational implicature, 35 data’s of particularized conversational implicature, and 7 data’s of scaled conversational implicature. Then the conversational implicature function found, namely (1) the assertive implicature to inform, states, and acknowledge, (2) the directive implicature function gives command, expect, suggest, asks, and gives support, (3) the expressive implicature function complains, criticize, satirize, apologizes, and expressing hatred. This study has an implications for Indonesian Language subject for class XI especially in kompetensi dasar (K.D) 3.19. Analyzing the content and languages in the drama that be read or watched.
