EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN LABORATORIUM DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI DI SMA NEGERI KECAMATAN SEKAYU KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN
This research was conducted to obtain information about the effectiveness of using laboratories in biology learning at SMA Negeri Sekayu in Musi Banyuasin Regency. The research indicators consisted of, completeness of laboratory facilities and infrastructure, frequency of laboratory use in biology education for grade XI in the odd semester of the academic year 2022/2023, completeness of laboratory administration, and implementation of biology education in the laboratory. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The sampling technique used is the Purposive Random Sampling Technique. The research sample consists of four Accredited A High Schools in Sekayu District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The research instruments used in this study are observation sheets for biology laboratory facilities and infrastructure, observation sheets for laboratory usage frequency, questionnaire sheets for administrative completeness, and questionnaire sheets for the implementation of biology learning. The results of this research indicate that the percentage of indicators for the completeness of infrastructure is (70%) complete, the completeness of facilities is (65%) complete, the completeness of administration is (96%) very good, the implementation of biology education is (83%) very good, and the frequency of laboratory usage is (37%) insufficiently implemented. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of using laboratories in biology learning at SMA Negeri Sekayu in Musi Banyuasin Regency is less effective. This is because the use of laboratories in biology education is still insufficiently implemented, and some indicators need to be improved in terms of completeness and quality according to the appropriate standards.
