This research aims to determine the characteristics of land and spatial typological data analysis on swamp land IP2TP Kayuagung, South Sumatra. This research was carried out from October to December 2022 in the swamp land of the Installation of Research and Assesment of Agricultural Technology Kayuagung, South Sumatra. The method used in this research is the method of literature study, direct observation, land mapping, and laboratory analysis. This research has parameters, namely land characteristics in the form of biogeophysics (soil type, land topography, physical and chemical properties of the soil). Based on spatial analysis, the topography of the swamp land of IP2TP Kayuagung has a height of approximately 10 meters above sea level. The swamp land typology of IP2TP Kayuagung is divided into three, namely shallow swamp with an area of 8.5965 ha, middle swamp with an area of 5.4038 ha, and deep swamp with an area of 13.5033 ha. The physical properties of the swamp soil have an average soil texture of sandy loam because the soil is rather fine. The value of the average soil water content sequentially in each typology is 30%; 52%; and 59%. The average soil bulk density is 1.34; 1.09; and 0.90. The average soil porosity is 49%; 59%; and 66%. For an average permeability value of 1.3 cm/hour, 0.9 cm/hour, and 0.4 cm/hour, and an average soil infiltration value of 2.80 cm/hour, 3.10 cm/hour , and 2.60 cm/hour. The chemical properties of the soil has a very acidic soil pH with an average value of pH H20 4,29 and pH KCL 3,30.. The average C-organic content is 1.53%; 3.47; and 3.96%. N-total average of 0.21%; 0.37%; and 0.24%, and the average Cation Exchange Capacity value is 13.05; 10.88; and 17.40 cmol.g1.
