PENGARUH PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI, POPULASI, DAN INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN TERHADAP KUALITAS LINGKUNGAN DI INDONESIA.
The current low environmental quality is a result of increasing CO2 emissions. Economic growth as a driver of economic activity is considered the most influential on increasing CO2 emissions. The growing population also increases productivity in the economic sector, industrial sector is one of the sectors that uses energy, thus increasing the amount of CO2 emissions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Economic Growth, Population, and industrial sectors on Environmental Quality in Indonesia in the long term and short term. The analysis method used is the Error Correction Model (ECM) with 30 research data from 1990 to 2020. The research variables namely Environmental Quality measured using CO2 Emissions (KL), Economic Growth (PE), Population Growth (POP), and Industrial Sectors (IP). The results of this study indicate that in the third short-term model only population has an effect on environmental quality in Indonesia and in the long-term the variables of economic growth, population and processing industry have a significant negative effect so that they can improve environmental quality Keywords: Economic Growth, Carbon Dioxide Emissions, Industrial Sector, Error Correction Model (ECM)
