PERAN PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT TERHADAP WORKPLACE LONELINESS PADA KARYAWAN YANG BEKERJA SECARA REMOTE
This research aims to determine the role of perceived social support on workplace loneliness among remote workers. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a role of perceived social support on workplace loneliness among remote workers. The population of this research consists of remote workers. The sample size for the main analysis is 152 employees, and 76 employees for the try out test. The sampling method used in this study is purposive sampling. The researcher measured both the variable perceived social support using a scale developed with reference to the dimensions proposed by Brown, Brady, Lent, Wolfert, and Hall (1987), and for measuring workplace loneliness, used a scale based on the dimensions suggested by Wright, Burt, and Strongman (2006). The data analysis in this study used a simple linear regression method. The results of the simple regression analysis of perceived social support on workplace loneliness showed an R squared value of 0.429, an F value of 112.840, and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate that perceived social support plays a significant role on workplace loneliness. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.
