LAJU EMITER PADA MEDIA TANAM CAMPURAN ARANG SEKAM PADI DAN TANAH ULTISOL
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of emitter droplet rate and determine the horizontal and vertical wetting distance on the planting media of a mixture of husk charcoal and ultisol soil using subsurface irrigation system. This research was conducted from September to November 2022 at the Soil and Water Engineering Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. The method used is the Polynomial Numerical Method, the treatments used are emitter discharge (A1) emitter discharge 11 ml/min (A2) emitter discharge 12 ml/min (A3) 13 ml/min, watering time 30 minutes with an interval of 6 minutes each treatment repeated five times. The parameters of this study are the average horizontal wetting distance (H) is wetting data a (right emitter) and b (left emitter). Other parameters are the vertical wetting distance at the top of the dripline (Va) and the vertical wetting distance at the bottom of the dripline (Vb). The results of this study show that the emitter droplet rate is greater in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction. At a discharge of 11 ml/min the watering duration can only be 9.25 minutes while at a discharge of 12 ml/min the watering duration can only be 11.27 minutes and at a discharge of 13 ml/min it can only be 11 minutes. From the results of the extensive wetting pattern, the best plant distance position is between 0 to 6 cm with a discharge of 11 ml/min, at a discharge of 12 ml/min the best position is between 0 to 7 cm, and at a discharge of 13 ml/min the best position for plants is between 0 to 8.
