KARAKTERISTIK BRIKET ARANG DARI LIMBAH OLAHAN TAPIOKA BERDASARKAN JENIS DAN PERSENTASE PEREKAT
The research objective was to determine the characteristics of charcoal briquettes from tapioca processed waste as an alternative fuel based on the type and percentage of adhesive. This research was conducted from August 2022 to October 2022. The research was conducted to produce quality biomass briquettes so that they can be used as alternative fuels. The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design method. The first factor is the type of adhesive, namely tapioca flour and sago flour. The second factor is the percentage of adhesive that is 6%, 8% and 10%. The parameters of this research include water content, ash content, carbon content, volatile matter content and calorific value. This research resulted in good quality briquettes, namely the A2B1 treatment with 8% sago adhesive percentage. The A2B1 treatment produced 9.09% moisture content, 3,57% ash content, 24,21% volatile matter content, 63,13% carbon content and 6399 cal/g heat value. In general, the quality of cassava dregs briquettes shows a high calorific value so that it can be used as an alternative energy based on the latest biomass. Key words : Briquettes, tapioca processed waste, sago, tapioca
