This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The aim is to describe how students' oral mathematical communication skills relate to the set material at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang using the Problem Based Learning Model. Data collection techniques used were worksheets, interviews and observations which were analyzed qualitatively with 9 research subjects. The research procedure consists of 3 stages, namely: 1) preparation stage: 2) implementation stage: 3) data analysis stage. Based on the results of research that has been done by researchers, it can be concluded that the oral mathematical communication abilities of students with Problem Based Learning learning are quite good and are in accordance with the indicators and are categorized as good, although there is still 1 student who does not meet the indicators caused by students who are lazy to solve problems to the final .
