This study aims to determine the problems of school dropouts among working-class families in Palemraya Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection methods were carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation with 10 research subjects. consists of three school dropouts, three parents who work as laborers, two people work as teachers, and two village officials. The research results obtained are internal factors which include, lack of motivation and interest in children in education, and health in children will affect the learning process at school which results in children experiencing lagging behind and difficulty concentrating on their studies. External factors include, the low income of parents who work as laborers so that parents have difficulty meeting their child's school needs, lack of attention/perception of parents towards the importance of their child's education, and unfavorable environment in the family, school, and community can cause children to experience dropout, and school facilities and infrastructure that are incomplate will cause a decrease in children’s interest in school.
