FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KONVERSI LAHAN KARET MENJADI LAHAN KELAPA SAWIT DI DESA BUMI MAKMUR KECAMATAN NIBUNG KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS UTARA
Land conversion is a function that occurs when changes are made to land that affect the main function of the land itself. The objectives of this study are 1.) To analyze what factors influence the conversion of land from rubber to oil palm in Bumi Makmur Village, Nibung District, North Musirawas Regency. 2.) Analyze the difference in income of rubber farmers before and after carrying out land conversion from rubber to oil palm in Bumi Makmur Village, Nibung District, North Musi Rawas Regency. The research was conducted in December-January in Bumi Makmur Village, Nibung District, North Musi Rawas Regency. The sampling method used in this study was the census method with a sample of 35 farmers who converted their land functions. The method of data collection is with primary and secondary data. The results of this study are 1.) The factors that influence farmers in converting their land functions from rubber farming to oil palm are income and land area. On the other hand, the factors of age, education level, farming experience, number of dependents and area of land have no effect on the farmer's decision to convert rubber land to oil palm. 2.) Farmers' income after land conversion from rubber to oil palm is significantly higher than farmers' income before land conversion, with the average income earned by farmers before land conversion is Rp. 10,280,440 ha/year, whereas the average income of farmers after converting their land into oil palm is IDR 46,316,871 ha/year with a difference of IDR 36,036,431 ha/year.
