REGENERASI PETANI PADA USAHATANI KELAPA SAWIT (ELAEIS GUINEENSIS) DI DESA TANJUNG BERINGIN KECAMATAN TANJUNG LUBUK KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR
Indonesian Palm Oil is one of Indonesia's superior commodities where this plantation crop has experienced very rapid growth. Indonesian palm oil is one of the commodities that has an important role in Indonesia's economic development. This study discusses the regeneration of farmers in oil palm farming. The goals of this study were: (1) Analyzing the characteristics of the children of oil palm farmers in Tanjung Beringin Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) Analyzing the interest of the farmer's children in continuing oil palm farming in Tanjung Beringin Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (3) analyzing the factors that influence the interest of children of oil palm farmers in continuing oil palm farming to support the regeneration of farmers in oil palm farming in Tanjung Beringin Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in October 2022. The research method used was a survey method by conducting interviews with children of productive age oil palm farmers in Tanjung Beringin Village. The sampling method used is simple random sampling. The samples taken were 31 samples. The results of this study are: (1) The characteristics of the children of oil palm farmers at the most dominant age criteria are 15-18 years (61.29%), for the last education the most dominant are junior high school graduates with 12 people (38.71%) ), the average length of participation in family farming is 4 years, and children of farmers are dominated by 17 men (54.84%). (2) The interest of farmer children in continuing oil palm farming in Tanjung Beringin Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is in the criteria of being less interested with an average total score of 53.61, meaning that in Tanjung Beringin Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency farmer regeneration activities took place. However, they still need guidance from both the parents' families and through agricultural counseling to reassure the interest of farmer children. (3) The factors that influence the interest of farmer children in continuing oil palm farming to support the regeneration of farmers in oil palm farming in logit 1 (less interest) which have a significant effect at level 0,05 are education and outreach from the family and at level 0,10 is number of family members. Whereas in logit 2 (Interested) which has a significant effect at level 0,05 is socialization from the family and at level 0,15 is education.
